DARI SYAIR KE KOMENTAR: PERGESERAN LOCUS SASTRA LISAN DALAM TAYANGAN RITUAL MOTIMU’ALO DI RUANG DIGITAL

Media sosial kini menjadi panggung baru bagi tradisi lisan lokal, mengubah cara ritual sakral direpresentasikan dan dikonsumsi publik. Penelitian ini membahas reproduksi digital Motimu'alo, ritual pelarung duka pasca-kematian di Gorontalo, dengan fokus pada fenomena video yang tidak menyertakan mantra/sastra lisan, melainkan hanya menampilkan performa fisik dan visual prosesi ritual. Dengan mensintesiskan teori Performansi Richard Bauman dan pendekatan resepsi sastra (reader-response) Wolfgang Iser, artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana representasi visual tersebut bertindak sebagai medium baru (locus pengganti) bagi narasi kultural, sekaligus menciptakan "celah kosong" (indeterminacy) yang mengundang keterlibatan audiens digital. Mengacu pada tesis homologi tradisi lisan dan teknologi internet (OT-IT) serta konsep tiga arena komunikasi yakni, oAgora, tAgora, eAgora yang diajukan John Miles Foley, studi ini membaca migrasi Motimu'alo dari arena lisan (oAgora) ke arena digital (eAgora), di mana penonton daring memanfaatkan kolom komentar untuk mendekode tanda visual dan mengisi kekosongan narasi lewat memori personal serta respons emosional mereka. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan etnografi digital dan analisis teks terhadap video Motimu'alo terpilih beserta komentar penggunanya. Temuan awal memperlihatkan artikulasi duka komunal baru di ruang siber melalui proyeksi memori personal penonton yang digerakkan dialek lokal, seperti komentar "dapa inga pas ti oma ada maninggal
