Kecenderungan adiksi judi online pada penjudi online: Bagaimana peran self-control?

Abstract
The phenomenon of gambling is familiar to the ear. Gambling is a problem that results in disputes with oneself as well as with the surrounding environment. Currently, the form of gambling that is rampant in society is online gambling, where individuals do not have to meet face to face to put up numbers (lottery) in addition, there is gambling under the guise of a game called online slot gambling. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there is a relationship between self-control and the tendency of addiction in online gamblers in the city of Surabaya. This study uses a quantifiable correlational approach. The collection of research subjects used snowball sampling techniques. The results of this study show that self-control is negatively correlated with online gambling addiction. The higher the selfcontrol, the lower the tendency of online gambling addiction to online gamblers in the city of Surabaya.

Fenomena judi adalah hal tidak asing lagi di telinga. Perjudian merupakan permasalahan yang mengakibatkan perselisihan dengan diri sendiri juga dengan lingkungan sekitar. Saat ini bentuk perjudian yang marak terjadi di masyarakat adalah judi online, dimana individu tidak harus bertatap muka untuk memasang angka (togel) selain itu, ada judi yang berkedok permainan disebut judi online slot. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara self control dengan kecenderungan adiksi pada
penjudi online di Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasional kuantitaif. Pengumpulan subyek penelitian menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan self control berkorelasi secara negatif terhadap kecanduan judi online. Semakin tinggi self control maka semakin rendah kecenderungan adiksi judi online pada penjudi online di Kota Surabaya
