Javanese marriage firmly places the women who is responsible for marital harmony, so that if there is divorce, they becomes a party that is viewed negatively. In fact, the rate of divorce for Javanese women always increases. The purpose of this study is to explain the process of making divorce decisions for Javanese women. This study uses an interpretive phenomenological qualitative (IPA) method with in-depth interview data collection techniques. Technical analysis used is IPA. The study was conducted on three Javanese women who were divorced from their husbands maximum of six months before the interview, have children and are employed. The results showed that the divorce decision-making process for Javanese women was very difficult because of the stigma of being a widow and influenced by namely children, physical and emotional impacts, friendships and good memories, commitment to marriage, finances, support from friends and family, religiosity and Javanese expectations and ethics.
