Keywords:
social support, ubjective well-being, overseas studentAbstract
This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the correlation between social support and subjective well-being in overseas students. The method used in this study uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires, in which it consists of 2 (two) variables, namely the subjective well-being (Y) and the social support variable (X). Respondents in this study were overseas students at the University of 17 August Surabaya as many as 102 students. The sampling technique used in this study is accidental sampling, namely taking samples that meet predetermined prerequisites and also coincidentally found. Based on calculations using the Pearson product moment score Pearson Correlation of 0.968 with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05) indicates a significant positive relationship between the two variables. That is, the higher the social support, the higher the subjective well-being of overseas students, so the research hypothesis "there is a positive relationship between social support and subjective well-being of overseas students" can be accepted.
