Relaksasi nafas dalam (deep breathing) untuk menurunkan kecemasan pada lansia

Anxiety is an emotional state that is indicated by feeling tense, feeling uneasy because you believe something bad will happen, attention disturbance, and feelings of worry. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of deep breathing on anxiety. The participants of this study were five elderly people who were taken purposively. The design of this study was pre-experimental with the type of one group pre-test-posttest. The research data was taken using the Becks Anxiety Inventory scale. The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon rank test show that the use of deep breathing can reduce the anxiety of the elderly. The results of this study can be used as a reference for future research and as a basis for using deep breathing in larger groups.
