Fear of missing out pada generasi Z: Bagaimana peranan kontrol diri dan kepribadian?

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji hubungan antara kontrol diri dan kepribadian neuroticism dengan fear of missing out pada gen Z mahasiswa, secara simultan maupun parsial. Pendekatan kuantitatif berlandaskan desain korelasional diterapkan dalam penelitian ini, dengan melibatkan 115 partisipan berusia 18 – 28 tahun, berkuliah di Surabaya dan aktif menggunakan media sosial. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup skala Fear of Missing Out, skala Kontrol Diri, skala Kepribadian Neuroticism. Analisis regresi ganda diterapkan sebagai metode dalam menginterpretasikan data, dibantu dengan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa secara simultan, adanya hubungan signifikan antara kontrol diri dan kepribadian neuroticism dengan Fear of Missing Out. Hasil uji parsial, mengindikasikan kontrol diri berkorelasi negatif secara signifikan dengan Fear of Missing Out, sedangkan kepribadian neuroticism berkorelasi positif secara signifikan dengan Fear of Missing Out. Kontribusi sumbangan efektif menunjukkan kepribadian neuroticism memberikan paling besar terhadap Fear of Missing Out dibandingkan kontrol diri.
